--Update-- In March, I started a section dedicated to Josef Newgarden's season in the British Formula Ford championship. As stated previously, I won't be focusing on the championship in 2009, but I will do my best to keep you updated with his success across the pond.

The latest news comes from Oulton Park, England where the 18-year-old driver claimed his first victory of the season in Race 3. The win came after a tough start to the year, when contact in Race 1 caused the Tennessee resident to retire early, resulting in his first DNF. He rebounded nicely by finishing third in Race 2. The end result is a podium in 67% of his races, during his first weekend, which isn't bad. He is currently sitting in 6th place overall. If he continues to showcase his speed as he did in Race 2 & 3, he will likely be battling for the overall championship at the end of the season. Stay tuned for future updates.
