Spanish driver Roberto Merhi signed with Manor Motorsport over the weekend, completing the team's line-up for the 2009 F3 Euro Series.
Merhi joins Manor after a very successful and busy 2008. The 17-year-old ran 38 races last season, with his focus on the Spanish F3 series, Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, and the Formula Renault 2.0 WEC.
He finished 2nd overall in the 2008 Formula Renault 2.0 WEC behind Daniel Ricciardo. In the WEC, he had 3 wins, 13 podiums, and 5 pole positions in 15 starts, showcasing his consistency. Merhi will partner the Brazilian duo of Cesar Ramos and Pedro Nunes under the Manor tent in 2009.
