Ryan Booth has signed with Goshen Motorsports to compete in the 2009 Star Mazda Championship.
Booth will enter the Star Mazda series with Goshen Motorsports after having completed two successful tests with the team. The 16-year-old pilot developed his craft in the Formula TR 1600 Pro Series, claiming the overall title in 2007 with 2 wins and 14 podiums. In 2008, he traveled to Asia to run the Formula Renault 2.0 Asia series. He ran 9 races in the Orient, finishing on the podium twice and claiming one victory.
He has spent some time in Skip Barber and Formula BMW cars as well, adding to his experience level. Watch for Booth to continue his development in 2009. He has shown both speed and consistency in his past endeavors, his performance in 2009 hinges on how quickly he can get up to speed in the new series.
