Junior Open Wheel Talent

Kristjan Einar of Iceland had the opportunity to test an Atlantic car with Newman Wachs Racing alongside 2008 Star Mazda champion John Edwards. Einar spent 2008 in the British F3-International Series running in the National class, he also completed nine races in the Toyota Racing Series out of New Zealand.

My feeling on this, is that Einar clearly has the speed and talent, it just seems like an Atlantic ride might be a bit of a jump. He might be better suited to spend another year in the British F3 National class and then look at a move stateside, if that's where he wants to race. Kristjan, who is currently 19-years-old, had a decent outing this year with Carlin Motorsport in BF3...but he has only been out of karting for one full season. He had 4 DNF's this year in British F3, but he also managed to finish in the top-ten in every race he completed. His best finish was third at Monza.
