Stars of Karting Eastern and Western Division ICC Champion, Mike Vincec claimed the overall title this weekend in Las Vegas; finishing third in both finals at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The young Canadian will be running in the Skip Barber National Championship for 2009 after winning the 2008 Skip Barber Scholarship Award, which funds one full season in the National Championship. Gary Carlton won both finals but still fell one point short of claiming the 2008 title.

2008 Indy Lights Champion Rafa Matos sat down with Indy Racing Revolution's Chris Estrada for a little Q&A session.
Chris Keller, of karting fame, won the SCCA Formula Ford National Championship in his first try over the weekend in the National Runoffs at Topeka, Kansas. Perhaps we will see Keller put together a F2000 Championship campaign for 2009?
Or maybe we will see Niki Coello make a full F2000 Championship campaign in 2009??..... Coello won his third Formula Continental Championship by more than 16 seconds on Friday afternoon at the SCCA Runoffs. One would think he would be hungry for a little stiffer competition. Personally I would like to see Niki Coello and 2008 F2000 Champion Anders Krohn run a few more competitive laps. The race everyone anticipated, never happened....(see 1:36s into video)
