Genoa Racing announced early yesterday that they have signed British driver Duncan Tappy to run the #63 entry at St. Pete for their inaugural Indy Lights season.
Tappy has an impressive amount of car experience on his resume. The former karting stand-out spent 2008 in the Superleague Formula series with Tottenham Hotspurs. He finished the season in eleventh after claiming three podiums. Atlantic Championship front-runner Borja Garcia finished just in front of him last year, in tenth place overall. Tappy also ran ten races in the World Series by Renault last season for RC Motorsport. The 24-year-old looks to be a real solid addition to Genoa's Indy Lights program for 2009.
