Russian driver Sergey Mokshantsev signed with Brian Stewart Racing to compete in the 2009 Firestone Indy Lights series. He will be the first Russian born driver to compete in the series. The team has posted a driver profile page for the 31-year-old; you can view it here. They also added a short video clip of his test with the team last fall at Kentucky Speedway.
Personally, I haven't been that impressed with Mokshantsev, but with fairness to him... I didn't observe the test sessions. He has added a significant amount of car experience in both Russia and Europe over the last few years, which should prove beneficial. Brian Stewart Racing is a proven team, so it will be fun to watch Sergey's development this year under Brian's guidance. The duo will be found at Homestead next week for the official Homestead-Miami oval test.

He's 31...we're correcting on indycar.com, we got incorrect info and apologize for any inconvenience.
Firestone Indy Lights PR,...
Thank you for the update. Not to worry, you obviously weren't the only one with the incorrect age. Plus,... in racing, age typically isn't a benefit. :)
Oh, no . Not another one of those drivers trying to hide the fact that they're growing older. I hope this was a honest mistake somewhere, but I've had to deal with a lot of age lies lately. :(
I've updated his profile at DriverDB now.
Mokshantsev realy tries to hide his age
