Junior Open Wheel Talent

For anyone interested in the entry list for the first official Indy Lights open test... look no further. There are currently 18 drivers listed, 2 drivers are yet TBA for Andersen Racing. Check back for updates.

• 61% of the drivers entered (at this point) are rookies.

The biggest surprise on the list is probably Jay Howard in the #37 Team PBIR car. It will be great to see Jay back in a car, but unfortunate to see him revert back to the Indy Lights series...after winning the championship in 2006. SandWedge, over at The Furious Wedge, does a nice job tackling the situation.

With the current economic woes, no move down the motorsports ladder will surprise me in 2009. At this point, if drivers are able to secure funding for any series; they should feel blessed.
