Michael Lewis has announced that he will drive for Eurointernational in the 2009 Formula BMW-Americas series. The 18-year-old California resident recently tested with the team at Palm Beach International Raceway and was the standout of the bunch...his average position in the time charts was 1.75. Gabby Chaves followed closely averaging 2nd in the test, but managed to set the overall fast time, clicking off a lap 0.296 seconds faster than Lewis.Michael has done quite well in the karting ranks and has some experience driving Ford Focus Midgets to compliment his resume. Look for him to make a big splash this year in his inaugural Formula BMW campaign.
