Junior Open Wheel Talent

Bryan Herta made the announcement earlier in the week that he had purchased an Indy Lights Dallara from Playa del Racing. Since that time, he and motorsports guru Steve Newey have successfully formed Bryan Herta Autosport and will field an Indy Lights entry in the 2009 championship.

The duo signed North Carolina resident Daniel Herrington as their driver. The 22-year-old has 13 Indy Lights starts and one podium under his belt. Prior to his Indy Lights efforts he developed his craft in the Formula BMW and Star Mazda ranks. He began his open wheel program with the Skip Barber Regional series.

The team is currently being run out of Vision Racing's headquarters in Indianapolis. I have a feeling this group will make a very strong combo.
