Russian driver Anton Nebylitskiy signed with Comtec Racing to contest the 2009 World Series by Renault. Nebylitskiy spent the last two years developing his craft in a Formula Renault 2.0 car before committing to Comtec for the 2009 WSR 3.5 season. His best finish in 2008 occurred at Dijon in the Formula Renault 2.0 WEC series, where he finished third.
In 2008, the 19-year-old finished inside the top ten 12 times in 29 starts. It seemed he was really starting to find his stride toward the end of the season. He finished inside the top ten in his last five starts of 2008, which was 42% of all his top ten finishes for the season. At this time, both Comtec and Anton are viewing this as a two year stop.
