American driver Carl Skerlong will test an Indy Lights car at Homestead Speedway on November 21st with Sam Schmidt Motorsports. Charlie Kimball will also be testing with the team for a second time on November 19th and 21st.
Skerlong spent the 2008 season driving in the Atlantic Championship for Pacific Coast Motorsports. The 20 year old Mukilteo, Washinton resident claimed 1 victory, 2 pole positions, and 4 podiums. Skerlong, who lacks oval experience, will likely complete his Indy Lights rookie test on November 21st during his test with Sam Schmidt.
