Atlantic Championship team US RaceTronics has already begun their 2009 auditions. Columbian driver, Juan Camilo Acosta tested with the team Tuesday at Buttonwillow Raceway. According to a release by the team, Acosta came up to speed throughout the day as he became comfortable with the downforce and grip of the car.Acosta spent 2008 in the LatAm Challenge Series, which utilizes Formula Renault cars. This would be a rather large jump for Acosta but certainly not an impossible transition. Carl Skerlong, current Atlantic Championship driver, made the transition in 2007 by signing with US RaceTronics after spending the 2006 season in the Formula TR 2000 series.
