Linkage 4/27

Stars of Karting: Gary Carlton sweeps the 1st round of the Western Championship in ICC. Jordy Vorrath grabs the second spot on the podium both days.

ARCA: Former karting standout/Formula One driver, Scott Speed wins first ARCA race in the fender world.

Firestone Indy Lights: J.R. Hildebrand wins his first race followed closely by former karter Robbie Pecorari. Pecorari managed to battle for the win despite starting 23rd out of 24 cars. He would be the undisputed hard charger.

Skip Barber National: 14 year old Gabby Chaves has proven that age has nothing to do with speed by sweeping the weekend at VIR.

Jetta TDI Cup: Back in the fender world, a few familiar names from the karting community have qualified well. Congrats to Josh Hurley for taking the pole. Lap times are extremely competitive. Mark Pombo won the first race with Derek Jones in second and Jimmy Underhill in tow to take the final spot on the podium. David Jurca finished in fourth place after qualifying seventh.
