Josef Newgarden returned to action with JTR last weekend in the MSA British Formula Ford Championship after losing team boss Joe Tandy in a tragic car accident on May 13. Newgarden made the most of the weekend and managed three solid finishes at the Rockingham Circuit.
The 18-year-old American pilot won the opening race of the weekend (Round 4) by a gap of 2.165 seconds over championship leader James Cole. In Round 5, Newgarden set the fastest lap of the race but finished 5th at the end of the 13-lap event. Josef returned to the podium in Round 6 with a 3rd place finish.

Josef's excellent showing combined with JTR' F3 win by Nick Tandy (Joe's younger brother), must've made the team very proud - if not emotional.
Great job by Josef, Nick and all of JTR in heartwrenching conditions.
