Stefano Coletti started his 2009 racing season with a bang by winning Round 1 of the F3 Euro Series at Hockenheim. The 20-year-old drove a solid race, finishing 1.070 seconds ahead of Robert Merhi, who crossed the stripe in second. Sam Bird ran an impressive race, despite a disappointing start, to finish 3rd. Alexander Sims set the fast lap of the race with a 1:34.174.
The hard charger of the day is Andrea Caldarelli, who improved 11 positions during the 16-lap race. The Italian pilot finished the race in 15th after starting back in 26th.
