This will be a busy weekend in the junior formula world, so I figured I would throw a bunch of news in one spot--using another edition of Linkage.
Indy Lights
Being that this is the month of May-- I guess we will begin with some Indy Lights news. Several Indy Lights competitors have been giving back lately... which I might add, is great to see.
Most recently Brandon Wagner and Logan Gomez visited two homeless shelters in Indianapolis that are set-up to help educate and develop children who are in a less-than-ideal situation.
Earlier this week, Jonathan Summerton spent a day serving ice cream and working with the Give Kids the World Foundation. He also plans to field their logo in an effort to help raise awareness and funds for the facility.
In other Indy Lights news; for anyone looking for a good restaurant in Indianapolis-- Ana Beatriz recommends Naked tChopstix among others in a recent interview at IndyCar.com
Formula BMW
A few Formula BMW Americas drivers have been focusing on playing soccer with the Real Salt Lake Major League Soccer team.
The Formula BMW Americas crew put together a Miller Motorsports Park Preview.
Star Mazda
Sort of old news by now, but Larry Nash is joining forces with Mundill Racing and Anders Krohn for the oval events in 2009. Larry's wife; LeeAnne Nash and Ken Ungar are also working together on a racing seminar for aspiring drivers.
Eformulacarnews has put together a nice preview for this weekend's event at Miller Motorsports Park.
Atlantic Championship
In case anyone hasn't noticed....the Atlantic Championship website is still "coming soon" and has been for the last several months. Last time I checked--the definition of soon was-"without undue time lapse", "in a prompt manner"--etc. Hopefully we will see the new site up and running shortly because it's safe to say that neither definition listed above fits the current situation.
That's all for now. This looks to be a busy weekend in the junior formula world. Check back for updates later-- or follow updates via My Twitter Account.
