Palm Beach International Raceway has signed American Charlie Kimball to drive their No. 35 Team PBIR Indy Lights car in 2009.Kimball has spent the last five years racing overseas in various junior formula series. His last race in the United States took place in 2003, where he was driving in the ultra-competitive US Formula Ford 2000 Championship. Since that time, he has traveled the world and become a very well known open wheel driver. You can view his resume here.
It will be nice to see Charlie racing stateside again in 2009. He has an incredible knack for finding his way to the front of the pack every time he gets behind the wheel and I wouldn't expect anything less in 2009.
