Team 3G Kester Racing has announced that they will field a four-car effort in the 2009 Star Mazda series. Joining the brother/sister combo of J.C. and Kristy Kester will be British Columbia natives Taylor Hacquard and Chris Cumming.
Chris Cumming looks to extend his success from 2008, where he won the Star Mazda Expert class. Cumming was quite impressive last season and I don't expect anything less this year.
Taylor Hacquard of Vancouver, B.C. developed his craft in karts, prior to making the move to open wheel race cars in 2007. He ran 12 events with World Speed Motorsports in last year's Star Mazda Championship, where his best finish was 5th at Portland. He completed his inaugural season 10th in the overall championship. Watch for the 17-year-old driver to make steady improvements in 2009.
