James Walker has signed on for his third season in the World Series by Renault, committing to P1 Motorsport for the 2009 championship. Walker spent the last two seasons running with Fortec Motorsport. During that time, he claimed one victory and stood on the podium twice. He also won a Superleague Formula race at Jerez last November.
Walker has tested with several teams this off-season, but decided P1 Motorsport was the best fit. The 25-year-old driver will fill the seat of 2008 WSR champion Giedo van der Garde.
