British F3 hotshoe Brendon Hartley has decided to stick with Carlin Motorsport, running in the F3 Euro Series for 2009. Hartley had a very successful 2008, driving for Carlin in the British F3 National Class, finishing the season with 5 wins, 5 pole positions, and 11 podiums after 22 starts. He finished third overall in the championship, despite landing on the podium in 50% of his starts.
In anticipation of 2009, the 19-year-old New Zealand pilot completed 8 races in the F3 Euro Series during 2008; with two different teams~Carlin Motorsport and RC Motorsport. Despite several poor qualifying performances, the talented pilot did manage to improve 46 positions in 8 races (only counting the improvements in races he finished). His best finish was 6th place at Cataluyna in September. Watch for Brendon to be an immediate front runner in 2009.
Just adding to his experience, he recently completed a full day Formula One test with Red Bull Racing at Jerez.
