Manor Motorsport has signed nineteen-year-old Cesar Ramos to contest the 2009 F3 Euro Series. Ramos spent 2008 in the highly competitive Formula Renault 2.0 Italian and Eurocup series. In the 2.0 Italy series, the Brazilian driver stood on the podium five times, while claiming the pole twice in fourteen starts.
Cesar tested with Manor Motorsport earlier this year in the F3 Euro Series car at Brands Hatch, prior to committing for 2009. The signing with Manor Motorsport should be a wise move for Cesar, who made Formula Renault a two year stop running 52 races with BVM Minardi. A move to the F3 Euro Series for 2009 is a positive step and he is linking up with a solid team. One would assume the two will put together a fairly rigorous testing program to ease the transition.
