According to a release from the team, World Speed team manager John Olsen had this to say about testing the upcoming star:
"We have been keeping an eye on the Skip Barber series all season, and there were a lot of contenders in the mix this year. Conor did a great job and really proved himself. Everyone on the team is looking forward to working with Conor."Conor Daly will most likely be running in Star Mazda for 2009 as part of the MazdaSPEED Development ladder. The 16-year-old will receive a funded ride in the series valued at $350,000 for winning the 2008 Skip Barber National championship. Should he win the Star Mazda Championship in 2009, he will then be awarded a funded Atlantics ride for 2010. Mazda has really stepped up to help these young up and coming drivers.
