Former Factory Trackmagic kart racer Tom Dyer passed his Indy Lights oval test at Kentucky Speedway last week. Dyer completed his test alongside Daniel Herrington, Leonardo Cordeiro and Christina Orr. All four drivers successfully passed their rookie test.
Butch Meyer, Indy Lights Technical Director, was impressed with all four drivers but had this to say about Tom Dyer.
"I was most impressed with Tom Dyer, who is a go-kart racer from California. He was flat in about three laps. I think he could be very good."
It must have been a pretty impressive performance to get that kind of a review from Meyer. Hopefully we will see all four of these drivers start a race before the end of the season.
