John Michael Edwards confirmed that he will fill the Aim Autosport seat for the remainder of the 2008 Star Mazda Championship. The announcement comes with little surprise as the duo found quick success at Miller Motorsports Park. The initial race was supposed to be a one off or "one of a few" events with the team. However, with the lack of Red Bull funding and the next rung on the motorsports ladder being just out of reach, Edwards was forced to make a decision.
His decision to run the remaining events should be a wise one. He has already shown his speed (winning by a 14 second margin) in his first Star Mazda event at MMP. The young driver will not only gain valuable seat time, he will also have another opportunity to establish himself in America after moving to Europe at the age of 14.
